As the Hospice Medical Director, Dr. Sanjay Muttreja assumes overall responsibility for the medical component of Heartford Hospice.
Dr. Muttreja has served hospice patients for many years and comes with a wealth of knowledge on best practices for delivering holistic comfort care. Along with his dedication to Heartford Hospice, Dr. Muttreja is currently the medical director for Southwest Healthcare System and previously served as a lieutenant surgeon in the Indian Navy. Dr. Muttreja attended medical school at the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India and completed his residency at State University of New York. He is certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds medical licenses in the states of California, Hawaii and Florida.
